Red Cedar Wood
The wood used for the interior and the exterior of the sauna is Western Red Cedar. Western Red Cedar is commonly used to build infrared saunas for the following reasons:
- Red Cedar is a soft timber. As opposed to hard timber it will not split or crack when the sauna is warming up or cooling down.
- Red Cedar contains aromatic oils that show healing and purifying qualities when using the sauna. Red Cedar also stimulates the body to excrete excess fluid.
- Cedar oil makes Red Cedar naturally resistant to decay and mould. This is a very important feature because in saunas moisture, heat and the human body come together which is the ideal environment for bacteria to develop and grow.
- The use of Red Cedar makes each sauna cabin unique because it varies in colour from light honey to dark walnut.
- Scratches on and small damage to the Red Cedar wood inside the sauna cabin can easily be repaired by using fine sandpaper.

The radio/CD-player has the following features:
AM/FM receiver;
CD player;
30 programmable channels;
Anti-shock system;
Wide screen LCD colour display;

Colour therapy (chromotherapy)
Colours have a positive effect on our body. We observe them with our eyes and they are then sent to our brain where they excite emotions. Our mood, our thoughts, therefore our well-being is influenced by colours. More and more colour therapy is being used in saunas and infrared cabins. Colour therapy (chromotherapy) is the science that uses colours to stabilise or modify the vibrations in the body.
These vibrations determine health, tranquillity and harmony.
Red: activates the heart and the circulation. Red light decreases skin diseases and rheumatism and it acts on the brain, the lungs and the muscles. This colour has a comforting effect.
Yellow: raises the appetite and helps with intestinal and stomach complaints. Yellow stimulates the functioning of the glands and activates the mucous membrane. The colour yellow has a positive effect on our temper and brings a warm and pleasant feeling.
Blue: has a cooling and refreshing effect. It helps with insomnia, restlessness and anxiety. It stimulates the blood circulation and the cell division.
Green: has a comforting effect, gives self-confidence and invigorates. The colour green helps with nervous disorders, head aches, gout and coughing. It influences the brain and the lungs.
Click System
Building up a sauna is now as simple as can be with the click system designed for Health-Wave cabins. No screw is needed when mounting the floor, the walls and the top. The custom-made clips are always a perfect fit.
Just make sure the spot you’ve chosen for the sauna is even and level and building the sauna couldn’t be easier. The sauna floor is placed on the chosen spot and the four walls are positioned on it. With the clips (see picture) the wall panels are attached to each other and to the floor. All that needs to be done now is slide the roof on and connect the wiring.
Once the exterior of the sauna is set up, the last thing to do is place the benches and connect the radio/CD player. Now you can start enjoying your new sauna. Who doesn’t like building up a sauna at any place within 30 minutes?
Incoloy-M heaters
The Health-Wave sauna uses incoloy heaters. These are ceramic heaters with an incoloy coating; an alloy that is activated at high temperatures. Incoloy gradually spreads the heat through the heaters so that a constant length long-wave radiation is generated.
The heater and its casing provide maximum long-wave radiation at the front and a minimum loss of energy at the back. The radiation of the heaters has a wavelength of 6 – 7 microns.
The heaters have been designed to produce equal length long-wave radiation and have almost infinite longevity. The large reflective panels behind the heaters have been designed to give the generated radiation its maximum effect. This gives you the benefit of the latest technique in your infrared sauna.
Ergonomic benches and back rests
Health-Wave cabins are fitted with ergonomic benches and back rests. There’s nothing more annoying than sitting on an uncomfortable bench or leaning against an uncomfortable back rest in a sauna. The definition of ergonomics:
Ergonomics strive to design utilities, technical systems and functions in order to stimulate safety, health, comfort and efficient functioning.
The benches and back rests for our cabins have therefore been designed to improve posture and position. This way you can relax in your sauna, giving your muscles maximum rest without having to sit in a tense position.
